why can't i view photos on my samsung

If someone tries to send me a photo or some other form of MMS I just ... Why can't I receive pics/ MMS on my phone (Samsung Galaxy Ace)? ... However I will check the contract to see if there's something in there about mms.

I just view my photos through the gallery app on the phone and have dowloaded the same photo's to my laptop

Why can't I view my pictures on my Samsung galaxy s3?
When I take a photo on my galaxy I can view it fine there and then it saves to the sd card fine but after a while if I go back to view them again it won't let me, can someone please help me there's a lot of photos I wanted to get back
